Something we do with just about every single home at Todd Padgett Housing Center is Energy Star Certify them. The Energy Star program is a government-backed program with strict criteria that has to be met in order to receive the certification. Things like:

- certain energy efficient windows
- special sealing instructions for windows, doors, and even your marriage line
- ductwork has to be insulated with at least an R6
- energy efficient heating and cooling equipment
- energy efficient hot water heater

We upgrade our homes to be Energy Star Certified because we believe in delivering a better home to our customers. Not only is your home built better, an Energy Star home saves you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. The list above is just a few of the criteria.
